Emails — No Scandal (NewsMax ??!)
Clinton’s Fundamentally Honest, DailyKOS
Imagine if Soros had contributed his $8 million to MoveOn to help Sanders. Also imagine that liberal donor S. Donald Sussman had given his $2.5 million to Sanders instead of Clinton. Then 11.1% of Sanders funding would be from top-tier hedge fund managers!
And in this case, only 3.9% of Clinton’s funding would be from Wall Street. And as we will see, much (likely most) of that is from progressives. [data]
|Conservative Wall Street funding for Clinton is under 5%, quite likely far under or nearly non-existent.|
Was MoveOn corrupted by Soros’s $1.46 million? If Sanders had accepted these two contributions, would that have corrupted him? I don’t think so. In fact the idea of such progressive money corrupting Bernie or MoveOn is ridiculous. So why does Bernie claim it has corrupted Hillary? I wonder. [Read the full post. Hillary’s charge of a smear — at 20:40 minutes. (YouTube) Insinuations
Time and time again by inuendo, by insinuation, there is this attack, that he is putting forth, which really comes down to: anyone who every took donations or speaking fees from any interest group has to be bought. And I just absolutely reject that Senator, and I really don’t think these kinds of attacks by insinuation are worthy of you, and enough is enough. If you’ve got something to say say it directly, but you will not find, that I ever changed a view or a vote because of any donation that I ever received. … So I think it’s time to end the very artful smear that you [Bernie: Oh come on] and your campaign have been carrying out in recent weeks [Bernie: ooooh]. Lets talk about issues … Hillary tries to and Bernie talks over her five times with “Let’s talk about issues” until he gets the floor. 22:22. Bernie starts shouting about Wall St. deregulation, perscription drugs, climate change, Republicans, Koch brothers, Exon,
I don’t think you could find any person in political life today who has been subjected to more attacks and had more money spent against her by special interests, among whom you have named a few, than I. And I’m proud of that. You know when I took on the drug companies and the insurance companies, for universal health care coverage, they went after me with a vengeance. Today, you’ve got hedge fund billionaires, aligned with Karl Rove, running adds against me to try to get Democrats to vote for you. I know this game, I’m gonna stop this game. But while were talking about votes, your the one who voted to deregulate swaps and derivatives in 2000, which contributed to the over-leveraging of Lehman Brothers, which was one of the culprits which brought down the economy. So I don’t know, I’m not impugning your motive because you voted to deregulate swaps and derivatives, people make mistakes, and I’m certainly not saying you did it for any kind of financial advantage. What we’ve got to do as Democrats is to be united to actually solve these problems, and what I believe is that I have a better track record and a better opportunity to get that job done. That’s what this election should be about.
